Mia OK after Colic

Filed under: Stud news — elvingstonstud @ 12:55 pm

Mia (Bordergrove Georgia) is happily fine now after a nasty bout of Colic at the weekend. Lots of walking round and round in the snow and plenty of liquid paraffin later and Mia has fully recovered from her colic. Caused by not drinking enough as the water has been so cold, all the troughs are now being topped up with boiling water to keep them a nice drinking temperature for my fussy mares!

Aries our Andalusian X Lipizzaner stallion was used as the lead horse during the Scottish section of filming. He was used in several scenes at locations throughout Scotland and these are the ones that made the final cut. (Ian can be seen as the monk leading him around in the first scene!)

Winter Blues

Well it’s so cold and miserable that I’ve sat in the office for most of the day, giving me a chance to redo the stallion’s pages.  Each page now has the stud fees and downloadable forms as well as photos of recent progeny in a handy column on the right.  The new photos that Nicola took at Tyninghame of Aries are now on his page so have a wee look-see at www.elvingstonstud.co.uk/stallions.htm

Oh well back to trudging around in snow!
